Das Debutalbum Pondering the Sushi von Norm Stockton ist eine Sammlung von dreizehn Instrumentalen Jazzsongs. Ein vielseitiges Projekt mit diversen musikalischen Grössen, darunter Weltklasse-Jazzmusiker wie Rob Mullins, Steve Laury und Scott Wilkie. Elf der dreizehn Songs sind Eigenkompositionen, die anderen eine spärliche und nachdenkliche Interpretation des Klassikers Roxanne von The Police und eine Solo Bass Interpretation von Star Spangled Banner, spät in der Nacht beim Betrachten der Strassen von Manhatten aufgenommen.
